Our rooms

There are four play rooms and the children are divided by age groups. Each room has a room leader that leads a team of qualified nursery staff.

Poppy Room (10 months - 15 months)

This room can hold a maximum of 9 children, on a ratio of 1 staff member to 3 children.

Daisy Room (14/15 months - 2 years)

This room can hold 12 children on a ratio of 1 staff member to 3 children.

Buttercup Room (2 - 3 years)

This room can hold 18 children on a ratio of 1 staff member to 4 children.

Bluebell Room (3 years - until 31st August following the 4th birthday)

This room can hold 24 children on a ratio of 1 staff member to 8 children.

It is important to note that the nursery registration is flexible and the age groups for the rooms can be adapted to meet both the needs of the children and the demands of the nursery. Parents/guardians will always be consulted before their child moves rooms.

Kiddies' Cabin Day Nursery strictly adheres to the adult / child ratios as stipulated by Ofsted.

Routines

The nursery staff will follow the advice and guidance offered by parents in ensuring that their child settles into the nursery. The nursery uses routines for such functions as meal times etc. while at the same time allowing the children to explore their surrounding and initiate their own activities whilst being guided by the staff. The Early Years Foundation Stage places a key emphasis on children learning through play which encourages creative thinking and embraces individual learning styles.

Testimonials

Y is starting primary school. It has been good for him following the school/ nursery routine from an early age.

I have enjoyed working together with nursery staff toward Y's development and skills.

All staff were brilliant during Y’s potty training. Whenever Y had an accident in the room or on the carpet they were never disappointed having to clean the room or carpet deeply.

Kiddies' Cabin have looked after children's nutritional needs well and looking after them well in general.

A safe place for children and handy for working parents.
