Work for us

The Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust nurseries are friendly, professional environments to work in where staff are given the opportunity to develop their childcare skills and progress their careers.

We have medium sized friendly nurseries where the staff know each child and their family well and our nurseries have an excellent reputation within the local community.

The staff teams are strong, supportive and caring and there is a low staff turnover.

There are a number of benefits to working for Kiddies' Cabin nursery.

These are some of the comments made by Kiddies' Cabin staff about why they enjoy working in the nursery.

Chloe. A - I started at Kiddies Cabin in October 2020, studying my Level 3. The benefits of working for BHFT are the good pension scheme they offer, regular training and a good support system. I enjoy working at Kiddies Cabin because the staff feel like family. The management team are caring and supporting. I enjoy helping the children achieve and grow.

Kae - I started working at Kiddies Cabin as a Level 2 apprentice and I'm currently completing my Level 3. We work well as part of a team and support each other day to day. I enjoy spending my time with the children and watching them develop and grow daily.

I highly recommend working for BHFT as the benefits you receive are rewarding, these include the pension scheme, annual leave, blue light card and the regular training opportunities to improve our professional development.

Chloe. L- I started working for BHFT in 2013 as bank staff. I joined permanently as a trainee and completed my NVQ Level 2 and 3 in childcare. I am currently the team leader of the baby room at Kiddies' Cabin.

During my time at Kiddies' Cabin I have felt very supported by the management team, I have been able to progress through my professional career completing the role of the team leader. I enjoy watching all the children develop and grow, building relationships with the children and their parents. Since being at Kiddies' Cabin I have made many new friendships along the way.

Testimonials

V is leaving to go to school in September 2020.  His development in all aspects has been noticed. His manners and kindness where he says thank you and please has been the most heart warming.

I've benefitted most from parents evening to showcase what V has done and the progress he has made and the summer fetes bringing kids and parents together.

I would like to mention Anaisa, she's V's key carer but I remember when she has joined and was soo quiet, seeing her over time come out of her shell and really be there for the kids is a lovely thing to see. Its difficult to mention one member of staff in particular as all of them have played a positive role during the time V has been at Kiddies' Cabin.

I think the nursery is good value and I definitely recommend Kiddies' Cabin.

I want to thank all the staff at Kiddies' Cabin for the years of happiness. It will definitely be emotional when V leaves and I will forever cherish the memories and I know V will too. Thank you for being there throughout my journey and supportive of my changed circumstances. Fingers crossed, I could be back with a new addition!
