Your child will be able to start their free place from the beginning of the term after their 2nd birthday Free early learning for 2 year olds
2 year olds from families in receipt of certain benefits or with an income of £16,190 or less per year are eligible for a free early learning place. Your child will be able to start their free place from the beginning of the term after their 2nd birthday providing that a place is available for them at Jack In The Box.
Funded only two year olds usually attend the nursery for 15 hours per week over two days from 8.30am-4.00pm. This attendance is term time only in line with the Slough Borough Council term dates and in addition there are five inset days per year which are chosen by the nursery. Therefore children attend for a total of 38 weeks / 570 hours per year.
To check if your child is eligible to receive the 2 year old funding you can complete an online application form and more information is available on the Slough Borough Council website or by calling the Early Years Service on 01753 476554.

Meal times are a very important part of the day and, depending on the times that your child attends Jack In The Box, we provide breakfast between 7.30am - 8.00am, a snack at 9.00am, lunch starting at 11.30am and tea at 3.15pm.
The staff are encouraged to eat with the children to promote interaction, improve social skills and to encourage good table manners.
I think the most positive experience for A was when Little Zoo came to the nursery.
Most positive experience for myself was seeing my son on a graduation day all dressed up and ready to start school in September.
All staff were so helpful but I think that without Anna our beginning would be much harder because A couldn't speak in English. But at the moment when he can communicate all staff are really good with him.
I think the nursery represents value for money. For the fees that I pay my son has a brilliant time while we are working. He has learnt a lot of new things, he's made friendships, I do not have to worry about anything because all staff are well trained and friendly.
I would recommend the nursery because it is a very friendly place with professional staff.
