Free early learning for 3 and 4 year olds
All 3 year old children are eligible to receive a free early learning place for 15 hours per week from the term after their third birthday. Some children are eligible to receive 30 hours funding per week, for more details please see the Childcare Choices website.
Funded only attendance of 15 and 30 hours per week is available but places are very limited so please contact the Nursery Manager to discuss.
This attendance is term time only in line with the Slough Borough Council term dates and in addition there are five inset days per year which are chosen by the nursery. Therefore children attend for a total of 38 weeks / 570 or 1,140 hours per year.
**We currently have vacancies in our Builders Room only for 15 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9.45am-2.45pm**
Please contact the Nursery Manager Richard Wheeldon on 01753 635480 to discuss this.
Meal times are a very important part of the day and, depending on the times that your child attends Jack In The Box, we provide breakfast between 7.30am - 8.00am, a snack at 9.00am, lunch starting at 11.30am and tea at 3.15pm. Children in the Builders Room are required to bring their own packed lunch.
The staff are encouraged to eat with the children to promote interaction, improve social skills and to encourage good table manners.

M is leaving to go to school.
JITB has been an incredible journey for M. She has been so well cared for and has learnt so much. She’s made friends for life and I am so grateful to the incredible staff.
The best thing for me as a parent has been the incredible communication with staff and feeling so safe leaving her in their care.
Alison, Sabrina & Shahidah you are all invaluable members of staff and always went above and beyond. Thank you all with all my heart.
I would recommend the nursery and feel it represents value for money.
