There are four play rooms and the children are divided by age groups. Each room has a room leader that leads a team of qualified nursery staff.
Poppy Room (10 months - 15 months)
This room can hold a maximum of 9 children, on a ratio of 1 staff member to 3 children.
Daisy Room (14/15 months - 2 years)
This room can hold 12 children on a ratio of 1 staff member to 3 children.
Buttercup Room (2 - 3 years)
This room can hold 18 children on a ratio of 1 staff member to 4 children.
Bluebell Room (3 years - until 31st August following the 4th birthday)
This room can hold 24 children on a ratio of 1 staff member to 8 children.
It is important to note that the nursery registration is flexible and the age groups for the rooms can be adapted to meet both the needs of the children and the demands of the nursery. Parents/guardians will always be consulted before their child moves rooms.
Kiddies' Cabin Day Nursery strictly adheres to the adult / child ratios as stipulated by Ofsted.
Routines
The nursery staff will follow the advice and guidance offered by parents in ensuring that their child settles into the nursery. The nursery uses routines for such functions as meal times etc. while at the same time allowing the children to explore their surrounding and initiate their own activities whilst being guided by the staff. The Early Years Foundation Stage places a key emphasis on children learning through play which encourages creative thinking and embraces individual learning styles.
R has enjoyed creating arts and crafts, making friends and playing outside.
R talked a lot about staff members Charity and Lek in particular.
The nursery is good value for money because there is good quality care with a reduced rate for NHS staff.
We recommend the nursery as there is a good range of activities on offer, good outside space, well-qualified staff who care about the standard of care and care about the children. I know that I am leaving him in safe hands.
