Work for us

The Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust nurseries are friendly, professional environments to work in where staff are given the opportunity to develop their childcare skills and progress their careers.

We have medium sized friendly nurseries where the staff know each child and their family well and our nurseries have an excellent reputation within the local community.

The staff teams are strong, supportive and caring and there is a low staff turnover.

There are a number of benefits to working for Kiddies' Cabin nursery.

These are some of the comments made by Kiddies' Cabin staff about why they enjoy working in the nursery.

Chrystal joined Kiddies' Cabin in September 2013 "I went from being a volunteer in the nursery to an apprentice and then a Nursery Nurse." She "Enjoys getting to work with different staff members."

What does Chrystal feel are the benefits of working for BHFT "A good pension." and of working for Kiddies' Cabin "Lots of natural resources for the children. The nursery provides a stimulating environment for the children."

Charlotte joined the nursery in May 2014 as a Nursery Assistant and she is now a Team Leader.

She enjoys "Working closely with the children and parents." "Being part of a team, helping others." and "Watching the children grow and develop."

Charlotte feels that the benefits of working for BHFT are "A reliable company with good training." and "Good job / career prospects and good working hours."

And the benefits of working for Kiddies' Cabin "Nice children and parents", "Well organised, a good team, a good position in the nursery." and "A focus on the EYFS and training courses."

Testimonials

J has loved her time at Kiddies' Cabin and took something away from every room; we can really chart her progress in her development file and through the photos that were taken.

She has made friends, some of whom she now sees outside of nursery, and she has great relationships with the carers.

The mix of indoor and outdoor play has been excellent and she loves being outside in the garden, whether playing or gardening! J’s happiness at Kiddies' Cabin made it so much easier for us to put her in daycare while we went to work – less guilt! And we have loved receiving all her artwork and the special cards they made for holiday, etc. We also really enjoyed reading her development file and seeing the pictures of her having fun.

All of the staff members have been so lovely, especially J’s key carers along the way. Special mentions would go to both Staceys, Sascha, Ranj, Linda and Maxine, and, of course, Richard who is always so responsive when I email with queries!

I have and will continue to recommend Kiddies' Cabin to friends and family and, if required, would not hesitate to enrol our youngest.
