Our menu

Little Dragons provides breakfast between 7.30am - 8.15am, snacks at 9.20am, lunch at 11.30am and afternoon tea at 3.30pm.

Our nursery cook, Sue provides a balanced diet for all children over the age of 1 and meals are freshly prepared on the premises each day. Parents of children aged under 1 year are asked to provide their own food and milk clearly labelled. We cater for children with special dietary needs including cultural and allergy related requirements. Our menus run on a four week rota and change seasonally as shown below.

Staff sit with the children during meal times and encourage good table manners - the correct way to hold their cutlery, saying please and thank you and appropriate social interaction such as talking quietly.

Testimonials

J has always loved playing outside. During his time at the nursery he connected really well to all of the staff but especially Christine. Even when he struggled on some occasions being left for the day the girls would always reassure him. He loves to come home and tell me all about his day.

I always felt that J was safe and well looked after when I left him for the day. If on occasion he was upset on me leaving then I felt confident that when I called later on to see if he had settled he would be fine. On occasions the girls would call me first to reassure me that he was ok, knowing how much I hated leaving him if he was upset.

All the girls have been wonderful in looking after J. J loved his time in the red room with Christine as his key carer. He always speaks well of all the team, Lou Lou and Hayley especially. Now he is in his final year at nursery he really enjoys his time there and will often say at the weekend " is it nursery day today ", that shows me he is happy to attend and that's all I ask for.

Big thanks to everyone who looked after J in his time at Little Dragons. It will be the end of an era for both of us. I hope he gets as much care and attention when he starts school. It's one big happy family! Sorry to be leaving it x
