We provide 3 nurseries in Berkshire. Jack In The Box nursery based in Slough, Kiddies’ Cabin nursery based in Maidenhead and Little Dragons nursery based in Reading.
All of our nurseries in Berkshire are owned, managed and supported by the NHS and all of our staff are employed by the NHS.
As our nurseries are owned and managed by an NHS Trust we are in the fortunate position to have strong partnerships with a number of departments within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Visit the NHS partnerships page for full details.
The nurseries provide a safe, stimulating, caring and nurturing environment, enabling all children in our care to reach their full potential.
Each nursery has a Nursery Manager, Deputy and a dedicated team. The three nurseries also work together sharing ideas and training and the senior staff meet on a regular basis.
Lee Owen-Macleod is the Area Nursery Manager as well as the Nursery Manager of Jack In The Box. She supports and advises the staff in all three nurseries to ensure high levels of care for the children, compliance with regulations and that staff regularly update their knowledge of childcare and education.
In total we offer over 190 places and employ more than 70 childcare professionals. Our nurseries are staffed by a mixture of qualified and experienced nursery workers. Their qualifications include NNEB, NVQ Levels 3, 4 and 5 and Graduate Nursery Nurses.
All nursery vacancies are advertised on the NHS Jobs website.
