What we offer : Curriculum and learning
A personalised approach to Early Years
Every child’s learning journey is unique.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which helps children from birth to age five learn important skills and get ready for school and future learning.
Our experienced team watches, records, and celebrates each child's progress. We work closely with parents to set goals and plan the next steps in their learning.
We carefully record your child’s learning journey in their development record, which includes observations, milestones, photos, and examples of their artwork. This helps us capture the special moments and progress they make during their time with us.
Your child's key person keeps these records up to date and keeps them private and secure. You are always welcome to look at your child's record at the nursery. If you would like to talk about their progress, we can arrange a meeting to discuss their achievements and next steps.
Your child's key person uses these records to learn more about their interests and development. This helps us plan activities and support that suit their needs.
We believe parents play an important part in their child's learning. We value your ideas, comments, and support.
By working together, we can celebrate your child's achievements and help them continue to learn, grow, and thrive.
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework that guides everything we do for children from birth to age five. It’s a set of standards that all early years providers follow, designed to give your child the very best start in life.
These early years are a time of incredible growth and discovery. The EYFS helps prepare your child for school and future learning, but just as importantly, it ensures their nursery experience is happy, active, exciting, and secure. We believe every child deserves to feel valued and supported as they learn and grow. That’s why we work closely with children, parents, and carers to create an environment where every child’s individual needs are met, and every day is filled with opportunities to explore, play, and thrive.
Our approach
How we evidence learning and development
From your child's first day with us, we keep a record of their learning, achievements, and special moments.
Their learning journey is kept in a paper folder and includes information about their development, starting assessments, a two-year progress review, observations, assessments, handprints, footprints, and fun activities such as measuring their height.
Children enjoy looking back at their learning journey and seeing how much they have grown and learned. It also becomes a special keepsake for families to treasure.
These records help us understand your child's interests, strengths, and stage of development, so we can plan activities and learning experiences that are right for them.
